Last night Grant slept in the big boy bed by himself-ALL night long. Time will tell if he wants to stay in his big boy bed, but for the 1st night he did GREAT! Also, today he was holding a strand of beads and he started counting of his own accord-he gets to 6 and then starts over & he actually says one-he never says one, at least I could never get him to say one. Anyways, it's time to eat, so I better run. Mags
Grant w/ Avery & Soren working hard at one of the local children's museum. This museum is a "hands on" kind & the kids LOVED it!
Yes!!! He really did put that in his mouth!EeeWwwW!!
Grant slid these blocks onto his arms and carried them around like a couple of bags. . .what can I say -he's definitely my son.
This is Grant's friend Sawyer. She loved those little houses they had & spent a lot of her time in them. It was really fun to watch her get in & out of them-it reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
Soren was so intent on the air tube -it would suck the ball up the pipe and spit it out at the top. He & Grant both spent a good deal of time there.
Here are Jocelyn & Grant working together (for about 2.3 seconds). It's true timing is everything.
Here Grant just decided to join a random group on kids, no invitation needed, it probably has to something to do with the fact there is "food" on the table.
Aunt Allison came early with lots of balloons. Grant loves balloons these days, so he is in heaven! So, is Aunt Allison b/c Grant is smiling.
Here Grant is patiently awaiting the go ahead for blowing his candles out! He is wondering why it takes so long for people to sing "Happy Birthday" right about now.
Now, going in for the kill-he's going straight for the good stuff . . . pure sugar!
Grant w/ Pop & Poppie assessing the damages post-party. It looks like Grant stashed Jackson's bear in his new elephant backpack his Nana gave him.
Here is Grant building towers-leaning towers of cans. Between sessions of tearing labels off, so we can have mystery dinners at some future point in time.
And now he thinks he can catch the tower. . . it still fell. . . but . . . he didn't give up & finally . . .
Grant will be 2 on Monday & we are planning a combined FHE to celebrate. Yesterday when I asked him what he wanted he said, "vitamin C" and when I pressed to see if there was anything else he made his monkey sound. Today he has only requested cookies for his birthday.
Jared has been making little mad faces lately when he has to watch us eat. You can tell he thinks it's something he will enjoy-which I'm sure he will.
